6/20/12: Hollywood Here I Come!

Can you believe it ? – Bob, Elaine and yours truly are headed to Hollywood tomorrow night!  Well, not exactly Hollywood.  We will be staying near Universal City because one of our students from the MIRA  Class of 2011 is a finalist in the National Braille Challenge and we are going  to cheer him on. I am so excited. Not only will I get to hear a lot of cool words in the spelling bee section (and you all know how I LOVE words) but Ryan’s MIRA dog, Sandy, will be there to keep me company. Two MIRA dogs at a National Finals. Whoa…I wonder if we will be on television?

And guess what else? We are going to a birthday party on Sunday with some celebrities (besides me, that is…) I am not sure who will be there. I am hoping maybe that dark eyed beauty Mila Kunis, or my favorite blond, Uma Thurman. It won’t really matter as long as they are nice.  Don’t worry, we’ll ask for autographs.

So, I have already been “buffed and fluffed” which means that I have had a shampoo and blow dry and my nails trimmed. The ladies in the office said they had never seen me look so handsome.  I told them it was because you have to look the part when you are in Hollywood.  Heck, we are flying First class, too, (Elaine’s birthday present to Bob) so I think I will fit right in.  Do they still serve filet mignon in First Class? I certainly hope so.

Well, gotta go and pack.

Yours among the stars,

Devon
