MIRA USA Office

MIRA USA headquarters are in the heart of downtown Aberdeen, NC, a charming old railroad town that is experiencing great revitalization as people seeking older homes with unique architecture discover the area and enterprising small businesses have decided to call Aberdeen home.

The office is open daily and welcomes visitors interested in learning more about MIRA from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bob’s fabulous guide dog, Devon, is the official greeter, and will welcome everyone with his favorite pillow or stuffed “baby.”

The following human occupants of the office include:

Robert (Bob) Baillie, Founder and Chair of MIRA USA
When Bob isn’t out speaking to one of the area’s fourth grade classes or a civic group, or meeting with prospective donors, he can be found at the MIRA office where his innumerable cups of coffee, although decaf, still manage to fuel his dreams and ideas for MIRA’s success.

Beth Daniels, Executive Director, MIRA USA
If Beth isn’t out with Bob at a meeting she is at her desk working diligently to deliver on Bob’s dreams and wishes and those of the many students who contact MIRA with the hope of getting a MIRA guide dog. Beth received her undergraduate degree in International Studies from Mt. Holyoke College and did her graduate work at Yale. Prior to joining MIRA she worked in municipal bond fund sales and direct response marketing. She has served on the Board of the Carolina Horse Park, and been a volunteer for Big Sisters of Indianapolis and Southern Pines SpringFest. As a certified ski instructor, she worked for a number of years with physically challenged skiers, including the blind.

Sandy Stringer
Sandy is a lifelong horsewoman and dog lover who joined MIRA in September of 2010 on a part time basis. Sandy keeps track of everything that the rest of us misplace, and assists Bob with special projects. She serves an invaluable support role in whatever capacity is required at the time, and does so with a smile and a laugh that is infectious.
